ho ho's, 10 oz. box
Box appeared smaller than usual, but I purchased it anyway. I was shocked to find that the product is now about 25-30% smaller than before. Two bites and it was gone. These were NOT "mini's" or "fun size", etc. Hostess, along with a LOT of other companies, has reduced the size/volume of their product and is still charging the consumer just as much money, or more. Just how stupid do they think we are? That we wouldn't notice? Same deal with the Hostess pies; they're now over 25% smaller than they used to be, and cost the same or more. Joining this rip-off bandwagon are the cereal companies with their smaller boxes, soda companies with their flimsy aluminum cans than buckle in your hands, water companies with their thinner plastic bottles that also buckle in your hands, etc. This all needs to stop! Either return these items to their original state, or lower your prices to compensate for the reduced size/quality. I'm tired of being ripped off every time I turn around by these money-grubbing companies! I will NOT buy another Hostess product until this is rectified.

This has to be the most poorly produced product ever. It is so dry and tasteless, I am beyond words. I can not believe Hostess would put this product on the market and expect people to think it is good.
If this the best Hostess can do they need to get out of the business.

I entered the store at approximately 1030 hours and purchased the HOSTESS brand creme Danish (5 oz) size.
I returned to my office to consume the danish and the coffee I purchased right after leaving the store.
After I got to the office, I opened to package and uncovered a large spot on the back side of the danish covered in MOLD. This danish has a "best by" date of MARCH25 (E 0119 8100 is printed on package). I am VERY glad I waited until I got back to my office and did not consume the portable danish while I was driving. I would have gotten very sick.

I go to the store (meijers) and pick out a bag of powdered donettes only to get home and find out they are already expired by over a week and are now not edible since they have mold starting to grow evem though they were never opened. I am very disappointed in the fact that you would allow a store to keep expired products on their shelves and get people sick. I believe I am entitled to a refund as well as some vouchers for free products due to your companies negligance.

so i bought two Danish is and one for me and one for my 2 year old son. after opening them i found melted plastic inside of the Danish. i had it sent out to a lab and awaiting the results. but to be honest i have never though in a million years i would ever find any thing like this in your food this was for my son. im really disappointed. i just dont get how your how your company has been around for so long and something like this could ever slept by your employees.my son could have choked on this.
hostess donettes
These donuts are stale and smell like drywall and paint. They tasted like soapy paint/drywall. The taste was so horrible I couldn't get the taste out of my mouth. My friends complained about the taste too when i shared some with them. I threw away the donuts and the wrapper smelled as well. It doesn't even have a expiration date. I remember these tasting sweet and smelling sugary.
hostess vanilla zingers 10ct
I purchased a box of the Vanilla frosted zingers from my local Woodman's grocer in North Aurora, IL on 2/23/2017. Upon opening it was observed that one of the cake snacks has an object on the side of it that does not appear to be edible. It looks like an insect, though I am not certain. The object is also very hard in texture. I absolutely love the vanilla zingers and this is completely unacceptable. I am always buying 2-3 boxes at a time and though this problem has never occured in the past it is an issue that has made me uncomfortable in proceeding to purchase any more of your product in the future. I am not sure what can be done to resolve this issue other than to prevent it from happening in the future.
apple fruit pie
I just can not understand why every time I buy a apple fruit pie it tastes old, stale, and dry! I think it may be because of the packaging. They now come in this cardboard box, so the pie isn't sealed correctly! WHY? Who thought this was a good idea? The worst part is I am pregnant and I always crave these apple pie cakes so every time my husband gets me...
powdered donuts
Bought powdered donuts since i had a craving, bit into first one and all i could taste was grease. The donut wasnt greasy but it was like the donuts sat next to a fryer for a year and soaked it all in. I tried another trying to be positive as im pregnant and just wanted a powdered donut but the entire 6 pack tasted like grease in turn making me sick all day. I had a different brand in hand and switched when i saw hostess..big mistake!
It might have just been one bad container. I'm sure you could take it to the store of purchase with your receipt for a refund or replacement.
hostess blueberry muffins
I opened the Hostess Blueberry Muffins. Brand new package. Not expires until March 2017.
Most of the packages were full of mold and very smelly. I have pictures to show proof. It was awful. I'm so glad my son didn't eat them.
That could have very scary.
I think you need to be notified about these kinds of errors so that other kids will not get sick. I've never seen anything like this before. Or smelt anything like that. It was so bad.

deep fried twinkies
I found this product on the shelf as a display along with many other packages of deep fried twinkies at Mc Dill Air Force base commissary in Tampa, Florida today. When I got them home all of this product had mold. I had thought it was strange to see them out of the freezer section but just thought they had a product now that didn't need to be frozen. It plainly states on the box to keep frozen. I called the customer service number at the commissary and whoever I spoke with could have cared less.

I have now purchased several packages of mini pies apple and cherry my complaint is the filling inside. It is a gummy texture and chewy. I have bought Hostess products for many years. My grand children like them for after school snack but lately they say are yuck like a stale gummybear. I hope you can correct this problem I was so excited when your products came back to the stores thanks for your help.

I use to eat the cherry pies every chance I got. Last week I bought some mini cherry pies for work lunches. Terribly disappointed as well, not just because they are ridiculously small for the price, but the filling tastes like old gummy filling which is awful! As of course I was waiting to take a bite if some REAL cherry pie filling. All I can say is I will Never buy this or any other Hostess product again. And I sure hope your business is at least doing something good and useful with your Profits! So sad for the name brand!

My wife purchase two bags of mini donuts, one powdered, one glazed. Both had a terrible taste, like Kerosene. Both were old tasting. Bot had ok dates. One was dated June 02, 2016, the other was dated May 20th 2016.
we ate a couple from each bag. Did not finish donuts at all. We still have bags and donuts. Not good at all and tasting terrible. We would some sort of response.

I have bought cookies from the company www.hostessbrands.com. I received two packages and was shocked that the expiry date was almost due. I emailed the seller and told that I wouldn’t happy to get almost old cookies, and I would love to get money back or change these packages for new one. But the seller told me that they wouldn’t send new order, because they haven’t had time for me and my problems. Awful attitude.

I opened my Twinkie today to find a large amount of green slime inside the packaging and on the cake itself. Prior to this I ate another bar which had no problems (as far as I was aware anyway), I am utterly disgusted. I don't know whether a mishap happened with the individual bar being out of date or in the box, but it makes me feel as if one of their employees had a cold at the time of packaging. Kinda ruined twinkies for me. PS. I bought this product yesterday, in date.
Terrible quality, taste
The New Hostess Bakery, Hostess Brands, etc., is foisting its old brand name, but selling terrible quality snacks. So far I've tried the old Hostess labeled traditional chocolate cupcakes and their Fruit (Lemon) fried pies. The new stuff is of excessive sugary content and lacking texture and flavor. Yecch! I suppose the buyers (Little Debby?) need to pay for their purchase, but it won't be with my money!

It is understandable why you would not want to check the expiration date on all of the products that you purchase. People who tell you to do this are irrational. However, the complaint should be made toward the grocery store that you purchased the item from, they are the ones in charge of taking items off the shelf that are beyond expiration date. They are the ones who put out an expired item in the first place.

I bought a family box of DingDongs on 01/28/23 at 6:07pm from Kroger 1741 E Chestnut St, Canton, IL 61520. I've opened 6 from the box so far and they all have had no cream filling in any of them.
First there is no artificial or natural strawberry anything in the ingredients. The chocolate is a very minute amount of cocoa. And the outside tastes like wax im very disappointed in the products you are putting in the shelves. Myself and a friend picked up a package of the donuts on 1/27/23. Both of us tasted them, and spit it in the trash.

I bought these and 2 out of the 5 packages are not sealed. Please make right. Can clearly see in picture that it wasnt sealed properly. I purchased them at big lots on Dec. 18th 2023.
On 1/20/23 I purchased a 10 count box of Raspberry Zingers, best by March 14, 2023, opened the box and all of the Zingers are burnt you can see the burnt part and you can taste it, the is no cream filling
The last 2 boxes of hostess ho- ho I bought were all crumbly in the package. I have been a ho- ho lover for 30+ yrs. I understand mistakes happen but I'm so disappointed. I threw both boxes away because not only did they look old n not edible,they didn't have the fresh taste that I have come to live🙁
Purchase a box when I opened it two of my cakes were hard as a brick. It's seems like they weren't package properly. Also every cake is way smaller than the first box I bought. The box was completely sealed when I bought it.

I have been a long time buyer of your products and have never had a problem with them until recently.I purchased a box of HoHos on December 31st and notice them to be a little dry. Upon further inspection I noticed that the wrappers were not sealed properly. They were purchased at the Walmart in Holland, Oh.

Donuts are wet upon opening packages. Pretty disgusting! Powdered sugar and moisture are not an appetizing combination.

I got a box of muffins and when I went to get a pack out the packs of muffins were smashed in the box(box fine on outside) I opened the pack of muffins and it looked to be only three muffins all broke up. Sending pictures with info on them.I got them from dollar general.
Bought a box of ding dongs from BJ's box of 16..they smell and taste funny. I thought maybe it was me, my husband tried and couldn't eat it. The box I have now that I opened on Oct. 18th that Expires On Nov. 2nd has the same chemical taste I had approximately a month ago. I blew the last one off and pitched the box. Cakes are lopsided meaning one side is fine and the other looks like its smashed but all of them are box after box. The machine needs to be checked to fix the problem. Coloring for the squiggle down the middle is not always white more like a disgusting brown. Both boxes were bought at walmart. The boxes themselves are fine no dents in them at all.
Have not had a Twinkie in a long time. I'm 70 yrs. old male. Bought a family pack of 16 Twinkie and was very disappointed. They were tiny little cakes and weren't what I remembered. I remembered light and fluffy cakes filled with cream. Bought week of 8/12/22. Still ate them but didn't feel the same.
After taking a bite of the honeybun it felt like I had silicone caulk in my mouth. It was disgusting. Very disappointed. It looked normal and tasted normal until you start chewing it and then it left this thick residue in mouth that was the texture of caulk. It was really gross I had to spit it out

In southeast michigan...Threre was a strong chemical flavor in the cupcakes on 8/16/2022. Expiration date is 9/8/2022. I felt a burning sensation in my throat after partially consuming one.

Stop being like everyone else. If you keep shrinking your product and raising prices eventually people will stop buying your products. Twinkies and cupcakes used to be bigger but you keep making them smaller and smaller. That is wrong. Especially when you shrink them and raise prices. The date is July 21st 2022.
I bought this product many times before at our closest Dollar General. However, yesterday 7/24/2022 I bought a package and when we opened it I noticed it the color was a little off then the texture wasn't as moist as it usually is, it was more on the dry side.
I purchased a box of 6 & there were only 3 in the box of SuzyQs. I bought these at Walmart in Dyersburg, Tn. I gave $2.86 + tax.

I bought the cream cheese danish and they were very hard. I had bought the Cherry cream cheese danish before and they were soft and moist. Thought I would try these and they were nothing like the Cherry ones. So disappointed ☹️. Won't buy them again.

Bought a bag of crunch mini donuts, there were 8 donuts and about 1/2 cup of crumbles, not cool, since this is by weight I feel all the crumbles(crunch) was taking over half the weight I would like a refund and dont plan on buying hostess again

what happened to the cherries and apples in the pies all I find is filling?
Happily munching away on my favorite chocolate frosted mini donut and horror of horrors I pulled out of my mouth a very long ( about six inches ) human hair which had been baked into the donut. Totally disgusting and ruined this treat forever. I will never buy it again.
