Freedom Financial works with certain marketing partners to connect potential borrowers with the opportunity to apply for a FreedomPlus loan. Consumers shopping for loans will contact the marketing partner (e.g. Experian), provide information about themselves, and agree to permit that partner to conduct a 'soft pull' of the consumer's credit (which has no impact on the consumer's credit score). A hard inquiry was not completed. If a credit freeze is in place, a letter is sent to the customer to inform them the application could not be approved due to the credit record being unable to be retrieved. Freedom Plus takes concerns about fraud and identity theft seriously. We recommend to *** go to www.identitytheft.gov for further guidance and tools to help him through the recovery process if she believes this application was unauthorized and that he may be a victim of identity theft.
