So, the situation: I was in a panic because my cat start coughing in the middle of the night and it wasn`t the first time, that time it was harder, so I was worrying about his health. I needed an immediate answer, and OF COURSE, I lost all my suspicions with my condition. They told me I will pay $5 for the answer and they charged $55 + $2. The "specialist" literally said that I need to visit the vet. I was asking for a refund, but all I've got is I am "not eligible" to get it. They canceled my unwanted membership, so I hope they would not charge me anymore, but I will probably go to the police as soon as I can. Not sure if it will help, but they just played with my moment weakness and charged me too much for it. My horrible week became the worst because of that guys.
Please. please, PLEASE don`t use it, and be careful with all your online stuff.

Upd: they reach out to me with explaining "how the billing system is works". By the way, it wasn't the agent who "contacted me" here. Were talking to me in the way "there was all the information about our charges on the page where you gave your banking info". So evil, so frustraiting. They are not going to solve the problem. Scammers who have to be closed.
I do not know what they do
I do not know who this company is or what they “provide”. I just noticed a $46 fee being taken from my checking account in November 2022. I checked with my credit union and was told how to file a dispute. They also informed me this amount had been on my account since April 2022. Again, to my knowledge, I do not know this company, what they provide nor give permission for this $46 to be taken out of my account each month.
Desired outcome: Stop taking $46 a month from my account and refund would certainly be nice.

It stated it was a $2 fee to ask. Question nothing about being charged extra… as I come to find out I had been charged $66. Ironically I rec’d an initial response asking me for more info.. but never got anything after that. I did cancel my membership so that I wouldn’t be charged further. However I would except to at least get an answer. Not satisfied overall at this time.
Desired outcome: Would prefer a refund as all I did was provide my own info and question. I didn’t actually get any help or response. So The $2 sure but the $66 is not acceptable.
Potential charge
I’m just putting this up because you need to make it way morn clear. I use Cash App for this exact reason. I put $5 on for your “fully refundable fee”…. Be honest and be honest for goodness’s sake…. You offer legal advice. And you try and charge $69.00. Even if you plan to refund it - it’s still BS. It probably takes 2 weeks to get it back.

I wanted to ask a professional a medical question... It said it cost 1 euro and would be refunded. Out of a sudden 50 euros are gone from my bank account without anyone caring in customer service or support. This happened on the 2nd of February. 20:49. Paypla account. I already filed a complaint in Paypal. If they won't act I am ready to include lawyers.

Charged without Notice
I went on Just Answer to ask a question regarding a doll I have. I read the info and it stated that I would be charged $5 to ask the question and then after 7 days I would be charged $28. The site stated that I would receive an email prior to the end of the trial to either continue with the membership or to cancel it. Less than 7 days, with no notice or anything I am charged $28 to my account. When I called they said I agreed to the charge and that it is nonrefundable. That is not what I agreed to! I agreed to the trial not a monthly membership. This is the biggest scam and I am absolutely appalled that this business is allowed to continue these practices. Buyer Beware!

After having a seizure and waking up i wanted advice on wether i should bother going to the after hours hospital which would have taken ages and so i wanted to avoid. i went on this website and asked the question to the doctor they charge you a 2 dollar fee for this and then as soon as you ask a question u are now signed up for monthly payments of $85nzd i was un aware of this and today went to checkmy bank account to find a payment of $85 and then checked and found another one on the date this happened. The fine print most likely states this but it is clearly deceptive and my panicked state was taken advantage of.

This place just ripped me off I asked one question advertised on hole web page I ask question basically there answer was I need leagle help to get grandparents rights paid 5 bucks went about my day. Next day my account is in over draft the charged another 5 dollar and 50 membership fee if you don't stop service they bill you 50 every month till you cat h it. We used JustAnswer to see how much a piece of artwork was worth, we paid £5 initially back in February 2022, and only just noticed that they had been taking £35 a month ever since.
They've taken over £400 pounds and given us absolutely nothing in return. This is a parasitic business model that preys on busy people, like me and my wife, who have full time jobs and a family to raise.
We only just managed to cancel today and contact their support to request a refund, they only offered to discount the last month (Jan 23) they charged us for, under 10% of the money they've essentially robbed from us.
Desired outcome: Full refund of the monthly fees we never agreed to.

I just found hundreds, probably thousands of stories like mine on the Internet, about JustAnswer enticing people to pay 2$ for professional advice and then charging them 89$ monthly for nothing. It just happened to me and I was trying to retrace the events that led me into this trap. In trying to find how/where I was subsequently (after my online chat with a socalled expert) asked to "tip" the expert - because that suggestion/request is nowhere in my documents/emails - one of the thing I noticed is that when you click on the "Rate this service" five-star process, no matter what you click it shows online as 4/5 stars and asks you how they can improve. So all their customers feedback are false and twisted the same way they are.
Desired outcome: Considering the number of complaints, this is a class action suit in the making, no doubt. I want my 89$ back + penalties for aggravation and time loss.

I must apologize for my rant! We so used to fraud that we automatically assume. In this case, I started by trying to find out in JustAnswer is legit and the number of complaints like mine (and variable outcomes) seemed to point toward a scam.
I just want to say that I started by doing my research: found numerous complaints everywhere. Then only did I try to contact JustAnswer. I should have started there...
I was in touch with a very kind and patient agent (24/7). He apologized profusely and proceeded to refund both my 2$ registration fee + 59$ monthly charge.
I wouldn't recommend this business model, but I can assure you and your readers that the company is solid, good technology and business idea. I received all the appropriate email messages to say that I was refunded and taken off the distribution list.
It sure doesn't help that the Contact page and other About us on the web site point to missing/error page. It just adds to the idea of a scam.
My apologies for drawing conclusions before attempting to contact the company. Based on experience, this is usually long/circumvoluted and pointless. But all the opposite in this case.

Charges I did not authorise
I was using e bay trying to find out how I could cancel a listing and was somehow transferred to Just Answer. I thought this was a new e bay link. I gave my credit card number to pay $1 to answer my query.
I was told by Just Answer that they couldn't help with e bay enquiries.
I have since been charged $72 AUD on 7th December and 7th January.
I did not agree to any subscription with this company and I would like a full refund with no future charges.

I contacted JustAnswer regarding a problem with email. I was charged $46.00 plus $39.00 to allow access to my computer, which I do not believe the tech ever did. I followed instructions. Response time was very slow. I was on hold for longer than an hour at point, I have Screenshots to prove this. I was bounced around from tech to tech and ended up with the ChatBot more than once. My problem was never solved. My credit card company notified me about the $46.00 charge which I have blocked. If the $39.00 one shows up I will contest it. I will pay the $1.00 signup fee. I have used online help from other tech companies, such as Apple, successfully. I asked for a contact to request a refund and I was given a bad link. JustAnswer support is worthless. Thank you for your help.

I was just on this website for about 10 minutes and canceled because it wasn't the legal documents and help i needed to find and get the help filing them out. I agreed with the 5.00 to join fee but was not aware of the extra 60.00 fee they also charged me. I got a notification from my bank a few minutes after canceling where they charged me a 60.00 membership fee. I had no problem with paying the 5.00 join fee but canceled after i realized the site was worthless to me so i wouldn't forget within the month to cancel before i got charged 60.00 little did i now they would charge it along with the 5.00 charge. I contacted them and asked for a refund because it was very misleading.
