Vanilla cancelling my card and tthe excessive time it is taking to be ocntacted by customer serviee
I used my Vanilla gift card to pay a purchase and the merchant was unable to fill my order and refunded the amount to the card. Vanilla then put a hold on the card--siting possible fraud. I spoke with customer service and identified the charges as well as the merchant would be refunding the caard.
Customer service gave me a case number and told me someone would be contacting me--no one has The card did not need to be cancelled it was not compromised. Now im waiting for someone at vanilla vis to call. what good is customer service if they can not fix the issue . Will never us vanilla visa and would advise others the same
Desired outcome: My vanilla visa is an ecard which was canceled. I want immediae access to my funds

Unauthorized Charges
I searched for the Vanilla website to check the balance on my newly opened giftcard. The web took me to a website: vanillagiftcardclub.com. I entered all the card information and said the card is invalid. Finally I went to the right website and it showed that there was already a transaction in the card which I didn't make. Now my balance is only $15 left out of $75. I tried calling customer service line but could not get a hold of a person. How can I file fraudulent transactions on vanilla giftcard?
Desired outcome: I need my money back and they should be able to track fraudulent activities on the card. There is no security on the cards. And no email to contact customer service or their service sucks.
Scam
I have the card. And it showed that purchase stuff in new york and calforina which I did not even use the card. I was suppose to get a email about a dispute which I never received. My email address is jose, [protected]@att.net the card# is [protected] exp is 06/31 and the pin on the back is 121. I bought this at walgreens and spent 475 on the card and there is not a dime on the card that I used. The whole card was hack. I would like my money back. This is so disappointing. Gift card
On January 19, 2023 I purchased a 200.00 vanilla gift card for my daughter's birthday. I mailed it 2nd day air on 1/19/2023 to my daughter. She attempted to use it a few days later. And it read "Card Error". Upon looking at the card, the middle numbers of the account number were missing and/or scratched out. We have attempted to call the company several times, with being on hold for hours. We have gotten zero help.
Desired outcome: refund of my 200.00
Gift card
I received the card as a gift and was never able to make a purchase with the card. It would not work online. I call for assistance. I was told to try at a different store and if it continued to not work, I would be issued a replacement. Needless to say, it’s been a month. I call today complaining that I am not able to make a purchase with this card and would like a replacement. This issue is an ongoing issue. The lady places me on hold over and over again. When she finally speaks to me, she says, ‘try to make a purchase at a different store’ WHAT! I just told you! That is what I’ve done and for a month.. it doesn’t work! I’m completely livid! $200 wasted! This is horrible customer service. If nothing can be done, then the person who gifted me the card should, at the least, receive their money back because he’s been robbed!
Desired outcome: Refund/replacement.. good customer service would be a great start.
Vanilla Gift Card
I am writing in regards to my vanilla gift card. It was given to me as a gift on January 24th, 2023.
I tried to use it on January 28th, 2023 and said it was already used and 2.50 was left on it.
When I opened the card everything looked to be intact and nothing unusually about the packaging.
I would like to have the amount given to me in another card.

I received a gift card for Christmas on the 23rd of December and once it was activated I was scammed and my gift card balanced got sent to a paypal account that I did not authorize or had knowledge of until I tried to make a purchase.attached I added the purchase of gift card. The purchase of gift card, the activation date and when the gift card was stolen and sent to an unknown PayPal account.

I was given this $25 Vanilla Gift card in March of 2020. I tried to use it a couple of times after that, but the transaction was always declined. I thought I needed to activate it before using it again, then forgot about having the card entirely until today. I went to the web site which was no help, then called the [protected] # to check the balance, which to my suprise was 5 cents! Apparently some one had accessed the card for a purchase. I called that number back & sat on hold for about 20 minutes waiting to speak to a customer service rep before hanging up. Tried to call again & after being on terminal hold for a second time decided that Vanilla had wasted enough of my time. I found this site by accident & came to realize what a fraud this company is, & how I was one of the "lucky" ones to be out a measley $25. Warning for others: DO NOT purchase Vanilla Visa Gift cards - they are a rip off!
Desired outcome: I would like to have the original sum of $25 refunded to the card.
Vanilla visa gift / incomm financial services
I received 2 vanilla visa gift cards worth $500 on each card. I made a few different transactions with the first one and then it just stopped working. It was getting declined left and right. I went online to check the balance and it said there was a system error. I then called the number on the back of the card to check the balance and it said $306 left. I then tried to use it again, it was declined. I called the number again to check the balance and this time it said "There is a problem with your card".
I tried calling the customer service for help multiple times but no answer. I then decided to use the other gift card right away and cashout the full balance because of this issue.
Bottom line: do not buy any vanilla visa gift cards. Everyone prefers cash anyway.
Desired outcome: Company needs to shut down and stop scamming people, give me my money back.
Vanilla gift cards
I purchased 20 gift cards two of the cards were useless. I have been trying to get in touch with the company. I have two hundred dollars on these cards. That I cannot use. I have tried calling, the email address is useless. I even called the bank that handles the cards for Vanilla. I had to purchase more cards to replace the two that were useless. I have tried to use the card
but the cards are useless.. How long do I have to sit on useless cards
When I called the number I was told that some one would call me that never happened. If this company is going to sell cards they need to be responsible. They need a email account that is user friendly. I purchased the cards at Safeway, thy could not help me. I want my money for the cards
Desired outcome: I would like Vanilla to take responsibility for their cards. The cards had had been used before packaging. Pay me the two hundred plus the 1190 fee for the cards..
I want the money back that was taken from my visa
I have been trying to contact vanilla gift visa for 2 days, I have a charge on my card that I did not authorize, I have been on hold for hours and their system apparently is down, Can someone please help me with this matter? I've been on their website and called 2 different customer service numbers, even tried chatting with them online and they want money to fix my problem. I will never use vanilla gift visa again.

Visa Vanilla Debit Card
Received a $200 gift card from my employer. Tried to use it and purchase did not go through. Called 7/08/2022, CS said it had been used to purchase from google. CS said just $120 left. I have never used it. They said they would send some paper work to submit a claim. Could take months. Issued a case number.
Seven months later no paper to submit a claim. Called 1/1//23 and stayed on hold 30 minutes and my call was disconnected.
Going to FTC.

Got this card as a gift and I can’t use it.
Got this card as a gift can’t remember who give it me. Try to use it for an Amazon order. Order declined. That is when I found out that the card wasn’t activated at the store at the time of purchase. Since I didn’t remember who give me the card I can go back an ask for the receipt. Customer Service wasn’t helpful because they want the receipt to proof I didn’t steal the card. won’t tell me if the card has been use. They need to have some protection against these type of situations.

I have submitted receipts from July 2022 and all necessary documents that my gift card for 250 was fraudulently spent. This was bought at dollar general and I believe as soon as the card was scanned, the funds were gone before I even used it and reported this right away. I have all the receipts. Why did paypal take all of my money out of my vanilla gift visa?! My brother gifted me this card for Christmas! Im suffering from heart failure and needed that money for my care. Something needs to be done. Now vanilla's website will not show the invoice that shows PayPal taking all my money out.. I pray something can be done and I can get my money back. Visa gift card
I was given a Vanilla Visa gift card for my retirement in October. I did not take it out of the package until sometime in November and I went online to activate it and it has already been used. It was a $150 gift card and there was 68 cents left on it.
It was purchased from Walgreens on 10-25-22, confirmation #[protected] and then used online on 10-31-22. It was never even taken out of the package, not sure how they would have gotten the security code. I have attached for history on this card in a photo.
Desired outcome: I would like to be reimbursed for the $150
Complaint
I received a $50 vanillagift card as part of a Christmas gift. Using it for an online purchase has been impossible. A friend tried to help me, but that didn't prove successful either. I don't have a means to purchase except online and my finances are such that gift cards are greatly appreciated. This one is a nightmare. I tried yesterday to complete a purchase. No luck.
My $500.00 in a check I can deposit into my bank account as I cannot trust vanilla gift cards.
Over 2 years ago I had purchased a Visa Vanilla gift card. The numbers had worn off before I was able to use it. I contacted them about a replacement, but told them to keep my card active. The Customer service deactivated it against my wishes. They then said I would need to wait for the replacement and it would take a few weeks. The card never came. I called again. They said they needed more information. They then said the card would take a month to get there. It never came. I called again. They said I now need to email the information. After emailing who I was directed to, they said I had to email another department. I went back and forth departments a few times. Now, 2 years later I finally got the card. But now the card cannot be used as there is something wrong. I have spent years emailing, as well as over 10 hours on the phone with customer service. I still do not have my $500.00. They need to be held responsible for this theft.
